day#4: an animal you think is cute

I think capybaras are really cute. They're like bigger siblings of the guinea pig. which are also cute :D

day#3 : one, some, or all of your friends

Day#3 ! I couldn't choose which of my friends to draw. I thought about it a lot and decided on Race, Diem and Edric. As you can guess all of them have lovely dogs as their pets.

Wanted to play with lines today instead of painting. :) 

day#2 : someone you like (celebrity, significant other, or crush)

Day 2 ! So, lately i've been having the biggest girl crush on the gorgeous emma stone :) . I thought i'll grab a picture of her from a recent movie

here's the final result after an hour or so..

I didn't like it so much, I didn't think it looked like her too much, so i thought i'll make a more simplified, cartoony version of emma,

played around with photoshop a bit with the saturation and i liked how this looks too..

overall it's really fun to look around for pictures of pretty pretty emma stone :) and it was really fun to simplify and play with shapes. yay!

a bunch of my friends and a few artists that i follow have been doing this 30 day drawing/art challenge. 

it looks really fun so i decided to join in on it.

painted this using a description of how sachin teng does his pieces.

i kind of forgot how to paint and this was a great way to remind me how to do the steps.
adding noise to the picture makes it have an interesting grainy quality to the piece. :)

2013!!

more kitchenware! painting glassware is challenging. i need to remember to observe shapes and color a lot more, and not get lazy.

for the new year i will make a resolution to draw everyday. everyday!! hope everyone is having the greatest days, and i hope 2013 will be a good year :)
